| Qualifications / Education / Training: Educated to degree level or equivalent. A recognised Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent Operational training in autism, Asperger Syndrome or Learning Disability Specialist knowledge in H&S, quality assurance, audit, and governance | E E D E E |
| Experience: A strong track record in quality assurance and audit within a health and social care setting, or within the charitable or public sector. Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing the H&S for services for autistic people or people with learning disabilities. Experience of identifying where improvements to services are required. Experience of disseminating information including training and development resulting in service improvements. Ability to accurately assess risk and promote positive risk taking whilst ensuring appropriate safety measures have been implemented and documented. Experience of successful working with local authority departments, H&S external leads, health and social care professionals and other service providers. | Knowledge: Knowledge of the H&S legislative and regulatory framework as it relates to staff and people for whom a service is provided. Ability to understand the challenges faced by organisations providing support to autistic people or people with learning disabilities. Knowledge of latest policy developments and best practice in respect of H&S and how it relates to autistic people & the services provided to them | E E E |
