Our dream garden for Reading

KINGWOOD GARDEN PLAN

Now that our beautiful home in Reading is complete and ready to welcome ten high-need young autistic adults with learning disabilities who are leaving school, we are fundraising to create what will be a wonderful back garden space.

The garden is large and we have designed the space to include a woodland walk, large fruit and vegetable growing areas, and lots of plants to stimulate the senses.

You will see from our plan below that our wish list includes bucket swings and outdoor fitness equipment to encourage activity, and an outdoor kitchen – with a pizza oven! There is a shed which we will convert into a woodland crafting & outdoor DIY area

We have in place a part-time Horticultural Coordinator who will support the young adults in their activities.

We need robust equipment and we estimate the cost will be in the region of £25,000. A list of items can be found here – KINGWOOD GARDEN PLAN.
