Today, Autism at Kingwood says farewell to our Consultant Clinical Psychologist Dr Sally Powis, who has worked with us for over 16 years.
Sally is an established and respected autism expert, and has worked extensively in the non-profit sector, NHS and in private practice.
Sally says: ‘Working at Kingwood has been one of the most enjoyable parts of my career. I have had the great pleasure to meet so many amazing people – in particular the caring and compassionate staff who are committed to the people we support, and their families also. My job has allowed me the privilege of just talking to people and getting to know them and feeling humbled by people’s thoughtfulness and resilience – with laughter and tears along the way. I want to thank everyone I’ve crossed paths with over the years and wish you — and the people we support — lives and work filled with meaning, peace and joy.’
Sally retirement plans kick off with a campervan adventure in Europe!
We provide supported living and outreach support, helping and enabling autistic people to live in their own homes and make their own choices about the lives they want to lead.
Our relationship with the families of those we support is incredibly important to us and we work in partnership with families wherever possible.
All Autism at Kingwood support staff receive our Specialist Autism Training, making us leading care providers in Autism support.
