| KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE | – Successful completion of probation period in Kingwood. -At least one year’s experience of working with individuals with asd, those who may challenge a service and/or learning disabilities or mental ill health needs. – Knowledge of different methods and techniques of assisting individuals with learning difficulties and/or autism to achieve their potential. – Experience of working to policies, procedures and directions. – Understanding of people’s general healthcare needs and how these affect a person’s overall well being. – Understanding of the risks in service provision. -Experience of working as part of a team | -Understanding of how people with learning disabilities choose to communicate their needs, preferences and frustrations. – Experience of administering and ordering of medication.. – An awareness of relevant legislation. – Knowledge of key working systems, taking part in reviews and developing Person Centred Plans. – Knowledge of healthcare needs of people with autism and/or learning disabilities. -To have an understanding or working knowledge of Active Support. | INTERVIEW |
