We are delighted to announce that Claudia Anderson has been appointed our Kingwood Autism Approach Practitioner, a newly created role that will support staff to provide the best blended individualised support for our beneficiaries – known as the Kingwood Autism Approach.
Claudia began her career as a support worker at our Beeching Way service, before working in Outreach, and then as a Senior Support Worker at Campion Road. She was then promoted to Support Manager in both Oxfordshire and in Reading. Â
Claudia says: “I am honoured to have been given the role of Kingwood Autism Approach Practitioner. I’ll be working closely with support teams to implement the Kingwood models which will be the basis of delivering support for all people we support within the organisation. This will include Structured Teacch, Quality of Life Framework, and Total Communication. All people we support within the organisation will be supported within these models, and – although these positive changes will take time, the impact these will have on the people we support’s lives will significantly increase. Leading to a greater independence in skills, and more opportunities within the community. As I like to say… we want to make the world bigger for the people we support.”
