Autism Acceptance Month

This month is Autism Acceptance Month – although we believe that every month should be an autism acceptance month!

Up until a few years ago, the month used to be known as Autism Awareness Month. Since then, the focus has shifted from ‘awareness’ to ‘acceptance’. Find out more at our Autism Acceptance page.

Watch our founder Dame Stephanie Shirley CH talk about why we must talk about autism acceptance and now awareness.

This year we are celebrating Autism Acceptance Month with Priors Court School, a specialist autism residential school, also founded by Dame Stephanie Shirley. People supported by both charities will undertake a sponsored walk challenge. Support our walkers here.

What We Offer

We provide supported living and outreach support, helping and enabling autistic people to live in their own homes and make their own choices about the lives they want to lead.

Parents, Families & Carers of those we support

Our relationship with the families of those we support is incredibly important to us and we work in partnership with families wherever possible.

The Kingwood Autism Approach

All Autism at Kingwood support staff receive our Specialist Autism Training, making us leading care providers in Autism support.
