Autism at Kingwood is lucky to have a wonderful team of Bank support workers.
Bank staff are valued members of our staff who prefer not to work on a permanent contract, but instead like to work flexibly so they get to choose the days and hours they work – usually on a part-time basis.
Bank Support Worker Jayne says:
I wasn’t experienced with supporting adults but had many years experience of supporting in secondary school and college. I had also cared for my Mum and sister who both had dementia.
The training I have received while working for Kingwood has been invaluable.
I do feel that the hourly rates are good. When you look around at other companies, Kingwood rates are slightly above average.”
This role will suit you if you have worked in social care or in a caring environment before – perhaps you have a family living at home and can’t commit to a contract, or have stopped working or retired – like Jayne – and would now like to work on a flexible basis.
Our Bank workers work with permanent teams in our supported living homes – these are houses where autistic people live, sometimes by themselves, but more often with house mates.
Our staff support autistic people to live successfully in their homes, supporting them with daily living skills and to access their community.
