An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join our Accounts Team at Autism at Kingwood.

We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Finance Officer to join a small & friendly charity based in Reading Berkshire that provides person-centred support to 140 autistic adults and people with Asperger’s Syndrome, across the Thames Valley. We provide this support so that they can to live the lives they choose.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in managing all accounting activities, including payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent knowledge of Excel, great organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks. We need you to be a great team player, adaptable and be able to forward think.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures. You’ll be assisting Head of Finance when required with accruals, pre payments & management accounts preparation.

Skills and experience

  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience using financial software (currently Quickbooks)
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent IT & administrative skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
  • A willingness to learn and develop yourself

Autism at Kingwood is a charity & specialist support provider for people with autism, across a wide range of intellectual ability, many with complex co-morbid mental health conditions.

We are expanding our clinical team to support and enhance the psychological well-being of the people we support across the Thames Valley. Psychology is highly valued within Autism at Kingwood and we

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with current HCPC Registration, to join us on a permanent basis.

The role includes undertaking psychological assessments of people we support, delivering tailored individual therapeutic interventions, working alongside staff teams and families, delivering training and there is the potential for supervision of others. You will greatly assist in the development and delivery of the organisation-wide implementation of a Positive Behavioural Support approach and you will play a vital role in our mission to ensure people with autism achieve their aspirations and potential. We are also exploring a provision to offer diagnostic services to adults and would welcome applicants with diagnostic experience.

We are looking for highly motivated, positive and compassionate Support Workers to work with 4 young men with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours in our new service based in Cumnor Hill, Botley, Oxon.

This is an exciting opportunity as though the service is new to Kingwood you will benefit from the support and expertise of an existing staff team.

Our aim is to support adults to develop new skills and live independently both at home and in the community, therefore our staff need to be person centred and show resilience where necessary.

As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings, evenings and sleep-ins (ideal for you early risers!)

Though full training is provided,  experience working with Autistic Adults and complex behaviours would be an advantage.
