Coronavirus – FREE support resources
Over the last few weeks, we have been running our ‘more than just a support worker campaign’, celebrating the skills and experience that go into this role, and recognising how vital autism support workers are to the people they support.
The importance of this role is never more apparent than it has become in the last few weeks and will only become even more apparent as the current situation progresses.. Support workers are the frontline in communication and support for the autistic adults who are in our care. In the coming weeks it will be our autism support workers who will be in daily interaction with the people we support as they face new challenges, including restricted socialisation and changes to their routines.
Our support staff have the skills and dedication to continue to provide first rate care in these unprecedented circumstances. To help them perform their roles we are collating and sharing some resources to help explain to the people we support how they can keep themselves safe and well at this time. We have also included a number of links that will help staff and the general public safeguard their own physical and mental well being. Please do take a look and if you feel that these resources could helps others, please do share.
