• Bucks social services students have a three day placement at Autism at Kingwood

Last week, first year social services students from Bucks university visited Autism at Kingwood for a three day placement. They attended our Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults training, met some of the people we support and found out more about what we do. The person that led the placement said, ‘I was impressed by their enthusiasm and how keen they were to learn, as well as the level of experience they brought to the table. They were respectful and engaged well with the people we support and staff alike.’

We also received lovely feedback from the students, who commented positively on our professionalism and work attitude, as well as how helpful and welcoming we were. One student said of our Vision, Mission and Values, ‘The approach is very nice and always puts the people supported at the forefront or service. It is a very special service that we wish to see in other care providers.’
