    Hello Everyone,

I have joined Autism Kingwood at the beginning of the New Year, so just a couple of days ago.

So first and foremost, Happy New Year to all of you!

I am really looking forward to be part of the team and my new job role.

Previously I have been working for 12 years as an Activity Coordinator in Day Centre for Adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism in Slough. For the last two years I have been working as the Manager for Slough Employ-Ability, supporting Adults with Disabilities into work.

So I was really glad to find this position at Kingwood.

I am enjoying this work and I have throughout the whole of my career followed this ambition, starting with a college degree in Education and a University degree in Special Educational Needs in Germany many years ago.

Now I am taking on the role of the Horticulture, Activity and Work Coordinator. You will remember Adam who was previously in the Gardening Coordinator role. I am taking over from him and therefore you will find me at the allotment site in Henley. I am looking forward to meet anyone interested in doing gardening, D.I.Y. or other activities in the great outdoors there to join me.

As an Activity and Work Coordinator, I will support people to find and access all kinds of activities that they are interested in. This could be for example sports, art or leisure activities in the community or at Kingwood. I am also looking really forward to hear from all of you what would be your interests and how I can help to facilitate their aspirations and ideas.

The Work Coordinator focus is on helping people to move into work activity. This could be volunteering, work experience, training, apprenticeships or a paid job.

I am excited to get to know you all, exchange ideas and work together on things you all really enjoy.

    Best Regards

    Renee Zgorzynski
