
Kingwood Lecture Series
Prior to 2013 Kingwood hosted an annual lecture series. Guests included Lorna Wing, Andrew Brand and Katie Gaudion, Andrew Powell, Anja Rutten, Alan Bicknell etc..
In 2016 Kingwood will be relaunching the Lecture series, the first lecture will be in September 2016 followed by another in November 2016. The venue and dates are TBC, please check back regularly for updates.
A relaxed and informative talk run in conjunction with Priors Court offering strategies, resources and practical tips on how to support a young person with autism during puberty. What are the similarities and differences of adolescent sexual development for young people with autism, what can be taught and when, how can we protect vulnerable young people? • Introduction by Dame Stephanie Shirley (Let IT Go - The Memoir of Dame Stephanie Shirley) Suitable for parents and practitioners.
