Some Kingwood team members

The Kingwood Trust has for a long time pioneered development in the support and care of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders; no challenge is too great and the organisation has achieved much with its innovative approach - 'You can trust in the Kingwood Trust'

Professionals

Since Kingwood was formed in 1994 we have established strong relationships with the commissioners and local authorities with whom we work, founded on a mutual commitment to delivering the best quality services possible to the people we support. In partnership with yourselves, it’s our job to help the people we support have choice and control over where they live, how they live and with whom they live, structuring our services around their individual expectations and preferences. We always concentrate on the individual, not the condition or label they come to us with, and apply this approach throughout our contact with you and your team, the person concerned and their family.

Kingwood may already be known to you through your work in the community but whether you have worked with us for some time or are getting to know us from scratch, we always consider each situation from a fresh perspective, asking “is this the right thing to do for this individual?” In asking this question we use knowledge gained from past experience to help identify best practice and develop our services in conjunction with an on-going programme of evidence-based research. In addition, we have also built up strong relationships with many community services organisations to ensure the people we support have easy and ready access to the services and facilities they need.

For an individual and their family interested in contacting us to discuss how we can assist, we aim to see the world from the point of view of the person concerned. When making our assessment we consider how we can support an individual to overcome the difficulties they face and turn those challenges into breakthroughs and triumphs. It’s the people we support who make the decisions and we support them with what they want to achieve in their lives.

Please contact us or call 0118 931 0143 to discuss how we can support residents in your area to live an independent, purposeful life in their own home or on an outreach basis. We understand the importance of working in ongoing close contact with you and your team and welcome enquiries from commissioners both inside the regions in which we already operate and from local authorities throughout the UK.
