Neil’s support worker asked how he was enjoying his work at our Horticulture Project, Let's Grow, and he said "it's good."
Supporting Kingwood
Get Involved
For some people, so much of what many of us take for granted on a daily basis can only be achieved with the assistance of caring individuals providing specialist support. Maybe it’s a visit to your local shops or perhaps you wish to try something you have always wanted to do for the very first time. Simply knowing there’s someone there to support you that you know and trust can make all the difference to making this happen and to your confidence and enjoyment of the activity concerned.
There are various ways you can get involved to play a part in the personal development of the people we support, including the following:
Donate to Kingwood.
As a registered charity Kingwood relies upon voluntary funding to enable it to provide the specialist facilities and activities which are key to personal progress for people with autism and Asperger's.
Can you offer work experience or an employment opportunity to a person Kingwood supports?
People with autism have a wide range of skills to offer and Kingwood can provide specialist advice as to which types of roles and situations are best suited to the individual concerned.
Do you run a project or activity with which the people Kingwood supports might like to become involved?
If any of the above is something you can help us with, please email a member of our team – or – call us on 0118 931 0143.
