John Finney – Chair Elect

John was appointed chair elect in August 2020 and is has had held executive roles in the telecommunications and satellite industry. John is currently CEO and Founder of one of the fastest growing satellite companies in the UK based in Reading.

Sandra Meadows

Sandra has been a trustee since 1999. She is a director for a successful recruitment company in London. Sandra chairs the Human Resources sub-committee

David Swann – Treasurer

David was appointed treasurer in September 2017. Formerly treasurer of BAT plc, David is a past President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and sits on the board of a regional housing association.

Rebecca Vickers

Rebecca has been a Trustee of Autism at Kingwood since 2017 and has a young adult son with autism.  Rebecca is a solicitor and formerly Group Company Secretary at First Choice Holidays PLC. Rebecca is a member of the Board of Governors at St Joseph’s Specialist School and College in Cranleigh. Watch her video about being a parent of a child with autism here.

Dr Steve Carnaby

A Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Service Development Consultant with over 25 years’ experience working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions. In addition to independent consultancy Dr Carnaby has an honorary post at the Tizard Centre.

Steve Bastiman-Davies

Steve joined as a trustee in 2019, he has a young son with autism and also first hand experience of dealing with autistic family members and their challenges as young adults. Steve helped found a global leadership and mentoring firm and  has over 20 years experience guiding organisations including the NHS, the police and local government through change and improvement.

Lisa Basford

Lisa runs Good Endeavours, a freelance business consultancy supporting businesses and charities to deliver social impact. Previously, she held senior Corporate Social Responsibility roles in global corporations. She was responsible for IHG Plc’s Responsible Business Report and stakeholder communications. She also helped to launch the corporate foundation, focussing on marketing and communications and managing the UK Trust. At O2, Lisa was Head of Social Impact and managed the organisations charity partnerships. Lisa is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability. Prior to her work in CSR, Lisa held a number of Marketing and Brand roles across the Travel and Tourism sector.

Championing diversity and inclusion is a particular focus of her work, and Lisa sits on the Steering Committee of the Gender Equality Collective.

Lisa has a son and a daughter who has ASD.
